CALL FOR ARTISTS!

The educational organization ARPOK is seeking an artist or a duo of artists to create a creative project reflecting student-led campaigns focused on today’s global challenges. The artistic project will be developed in collaboration with young people and will aim to bring their ideas and messages into the public space.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for artists who:

  • are interested in working with young people (aged 13–20),
  • can design their own creative approach to artistically interpret student campaigns,
  • bring a global perspective (e.g. come from the Global South and/or Indigenous communities, have experience in these contexts, or work with global themes),
  • are able to communicate in Czech or English.

The call is open to artists living in the Czech Republic or elsewhere in Europe.

        What you will do:

        • design an artistic reflection of student campaigns (the format is open – e.g. exhibition, street art, graphic project, music piece, storytelling, video art, etc.),
        • collaborate with pupils and students to create the final art work,
        • help to bring their message into the public sphere,
        • take part in an online information session for students in mid-October 2026 (or provide information about the planned project for students).

The implementation of the project together with students (or presentation of the outcome, depending on the format) will take place in February/March 2027 in the Czech Republic (at a student conference or alternatively as required by the project).

              What we offer

              • fee of EUR 2,000 (total for the project),
              • reimbursement of travel and accommodation costs in the Czech Republic,
              • coverage of materials needed for the project (e.g. art supplies),
              • organizational support from the ARPOK team,
              • language support (translation to/from English),
              • promotion of the final project on websites and social media.

Groups of young people aged 13–20 prepare public campaigns addressing global challenges in a local context.
The aim is to raise awareness of important global issues and seek solutions relevant to the places where young people live. The campaigns should also include a global perspective on the given topic.

Global topics include, for example, climate change, global inequalities, migration, and gender equality.

The artistic project should reflect these activities and help amplify their message to a wider public.
